How does one reach youth with a message about drugs more persuasive than peer pressure and drug dealers?  That’s where we can help.  The Foundation for a Drug-Free World provides effective drug education resources – videos, booklets and other teaching aids – that grab the attention of young people, keep them involved and leave them informed.  And once informed, they can make the decision of a lifetime – to live drug-free.

No one, especially a young person, likes to be lectured about what he or she can or cannot do.  Thus, we provide the facts that empower youth to choose not to take drugs in the first place.  Additionally our Truth About Drugs campaign consists of activities that they can join which popularize drug-free living.  These activities are simple, effective and can involve people of all ages.

Our mission is to education youth and adults of Southern California and turn the tide on rampant drug abuse.

Key to the success of the Truth About Drugs educational program is the participation of volunteers who contribute their time and skills to spreading the campaign’s vital message to millions.  They contribute in many ways, from teaching drug education in schools or youth centers, to widely distributing the booklets.  From displaying info stands and organizing drug-free pledge signing events, to holding concerts, sporting events and parades.  We additionally offer Drug Education Specialist Workshops, where individuals can earn their certificates as a Drug Education Specialist.  All work together to create drug-free communities everywhere.
